If you are ever in DC on a Sunday, News Cafe in Georgetown is a great place for brunch. Located in the heart of Georgetown, Washington DC, News Cafe is a small Italian restaurant with a wide selection of breakfast entrees. I haven’t been to News Cafe for dinner but I have enjoyed eating Sunday brunch there a number of times since 2005.
For Sunday brunch, News Cafe offers a wide variety of classic breakfast platters. Their crepes, pancakes and waffles are all made fresh at the front of the restaurant – which is a great way of attracting diners looking in through the storefront. In fact, that’s what attracted me to go into News Cafe in the first place. All of their breakfasts are served with fresh food and priced fairly – around $12 per dish. Their sour dough bread is also freshly made.
News Cafe also has an open bar in the morning where you can enjoy a Mimosa or Bloody Mary in the morning to keep quench your thirst.
