Atlantic Fish Company is, hands down, the best restaurant in Boston’s Back Bay. I highly recommend you visit for dinner, after you’ve taken John’s advice to have brunch at the Paramount.
Located on Boyleston Street, Atlantic Fish Company offers fresh fish and seafood daily. According to the staff, fishes are flown in every morning by 11am. Atlantic Fish Company is also flexible with all of its preparation – you can have your fish steamed, seared or fried. Seared Chilean sea bass is my personal favorite there. Each seafood entree is in the $35 to $45 range. The most expensive is their surf and turf, at $45, but you get a peace of steak and a sizable lobster tail.
Atlantic Fish’s soups are also great; I personally prefer the crab bisque over the traditional clam chowder, but they’re both very good. Their wine selection is great, with many Pinot Noirs from California’s Central Valley that complement the seafood dishes. Service and ambiance is also excellent. I give Atlantic Fish Company five stars and I don’t hand those out lightly.
You may also want to check out The Paramount (John M’s previous post) when you’re in the area.
