Located on Boyleston Street, Atlantic Fish Company offers fresh fish and seafood daily. According to the staff, fishes are flown in every morning by 11am. Atlantic Fish Company is also flexible with all of its preparation – you can have your fish steamed, seared or fried. Seared Chilean sea bass is my personal favorite there. Each seafood entree is in the $35 to $45 range. The most expensive is their surf and turf, at $45, but you get a peace of steak and a sizable lobster tail.

Atlantic Fish’s soups are also great; I personally prefer the crab bisque over the traditional clam chowder, but they’re both very good.  Their wine selection is great, with many Pinot Noirs from California’s Central Valley that complement the seafood dishes. Service and ambiance is also excellent. I give Atlantic Fish Company five stars and I don’t hand those out lightly.

The Paramount is located on Charles Street, in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston. I recommend you try this place when you need a good breakfast or lunch destination – preferably on a weekday, as it can get very crowded on weekends.

The Paramount has a very interesting setup that deserves mention; you place your order at the counter, and then wait on line to pay at the cash register. The line can be long, but moves quickly; and your order is almost always ready by the time you get to the register. It’s a very efficient setup, and I’ve always been able to find seating by the time my order is ready, no matter how crowded the tables are when I get on line.
